Do you ever get that snacky feeling where you dig through the pantry in search of anything and everything crunchy, sweet, and salty?? Well, if not, you are lucky, but if so, this may help. Both my husband and I are in that "Post 30, gotta get healthy, it's now or never" phase. We wish that we had established better eating habits early on when burning off that extra pound gained over a long weekend was as easy as going for a quick 20 minute jog. Now... not so much! This is now one of our staples in our pantry. We also keep a baggy of it in each of our cars so when you are out and about and all that fast food is calling your name, you can get some healthy fat into your system to hold you over. Hope you all enjoy...
100g of Raw Almonds
100g of Raw Cashews
100g of Raw Partially Chopped Pecans
100g of a Raw Seed Blend of Pepitas & Sunflower Seeds
100g of Dried Cranberries
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Spread all of the nuts over a cookie sheet (as shown). Make sure it is an even layer. Use 2 cookie sheets if necessary. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until you start to smell the nuts. Let cool, then toss in the cranberries. I usually then just put this in a big Ziploc bag & keep it in the pantry. We take this stuff EVERYWHERE!! Beach, park, trips, hiking... you name it, it is great! And so easy!
do you guys have a place where you always get your nuts? I just find that they vary in price from store to store. Is there a good season to buy nuts? Just curious what you know???
