Procrastination

so yeah... pushups, haven't happened yet. HA! go figure. I did do my initial test and will be starting that up tomorrow. Last week started out strong in the workout department, but ended pretty lame. I swam 1000m on Mon, Tues & Wed, as well as doing Crossfit on Tues. & Wed. Tuesday was sprints (I rowed as to keep my HR down) & came in at about the middle of the pack all 5 sprints. Then we did 50 burpees for time... OUCH! That took me awhile. My initial goal was to get 10 per minute, but at 5:29, I missed that mark. Wednesday was good for me though. It was push jerks for weight, aiming at our one rep max. I slowly worked up to 101lbs, but that was about it for me. Not a PR, but still felt good. I worked with 2 girls that are fairly new and it was fun to "mini-coach" them and see progression in the movements in the short time we were there. One big bummer at the gym is the new bar... I was so excited to get the new bar in for pullups as it is bigger and my hands felt so much stronger on there without as much ripping... but alas, that didn't last as Monday during the workout, we all watched it come crashing down laying out one guy flat on his back. No bueno!!
Eating has also sucked this week. Again, started off strong with shakes and good intentions, but tapered off slowly & have pretty much hit rock bottom over the weekend with popcorn, beer and Girl Scout cookies (btw... those things are evil!) Next week, I know I need to hit it strong as my family is in town Thurs & Friday and that definately means eating out and not very healthy with my cutie nieces and nephew. =) Sasha is now 8, Chloe is 6 and Lance aka Bubba is 2. So stinkin' cute!!

Last but not least, update on health crap! Still no word. The great thing is though that we were able to meet with our doctor and he is going to write a letter of petition for us to both insurance companies that denied me. I am sure that is going to be HUGE. God is working here... it may not be as fast as we would like, but HE is working... & I am still working on trust. =)
